Using RTI (Right to Information ) to access your marks details in Govt Exams..

In this post , i shall post info on how to file an RTI in case you require to access information about your performance in Govt Exams like Bank exams, SSC exams, or state govt held exam by them directly or through some organisation..

Under Right to Information - 2005 , We can access this information in detail alongwith demanding access to even the answer sheets and verifying the marks.

For this Two important point one must note:

1) The Application should be sent by Speed post / registered ad post and reciept of the same be kept , preferraby speed post according to me as we can track the movement through web.

2) Must attach the requisite fees of Rs 10 (in most states) in the form of IPO (Indian Postal Order) or Crossed Bank draft.IPO can be obtained from any post office.

Now a sample RTI for accessing marks details and answer sheet. I used this applicantion for accessing my answer sheets from CDAC , Mohali who had conducted test on behalf of PSSSB , Punjab for Punjab govt jobs.

I got the reply within 30-35 days.. which is the allowed time in case of RTI.

PS: Don't forget to add RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT -2005 for seeking information.

Likewise don't forget to mention I AM A CITIZEN OF INDIA (check sample rti below)

Aviva Donate a BOOK campaign : Path Breaker

I recently came across this campaign launched by AVIVA Insurance company for donating books for street children.

I shall post the link at the end.. But i want to share something uniue in this campaign..

What is unique about the campaign is the way to contribute through SMS and Mobile Balance..

Yes, this is a path breaking use of technology and am very much advocating its use for e-commerce and m-commerce..

Through this campaign , we can just send a sms 'BOOK' to 58910 to contribute Rs 10 towards the campaign . The cost of the sms sent is Rs 10.

The greatness of this method is that, we Indians are very much interested to contribute to charity as seen from the beggars we generously give alms to but because the process to donate for charity is so difficult/ cumbersome and out of reach of common Indians that we do not contribute to even good cahrity campigns like this one.

But with Aviva launching sms donation whereby one sms cost is Rs 10 (for vodafone customers) and deduction will be from the main balance of the phone or will be clubbed in bill payment it will be a success as mobile penetration has reached to almost all parts of country and we i.e India has crossed the mobile density of 50% long ago.

So expecting large number to contributors.

But most importantly ..Not Paisa Pay , Not Pay pal but this is the future for E-commerce ....This is the way forward..

Ps: Am doing my bit by sending sms 'BOOK' to 58910 , Its your turn now.

update: Sending the sms it sends failure report. Verify at your end if it works..I should have checked before posting...Ooops..
