How to Overcome "BREAK-UP"!!! How much time it takes to become normal again !

Most of us today are'nt that lucky in terms of love and do have a "Break-Up"  in the relationship. With our marrigeable ages extended, we do seek companionship in between which usually is not the one that ends up in a mariage/ permanent relationship.

Getting over  a relationship can be very tiring and hurting... and it turns your world upside down , and you even loose the desire to live , recent episode of Bollywoood actress Jiah Khan committing suicide after break uup confirms this pain.So, i thought why not write and share with a few people this issue , its impact on life, effects and may be ways to overcome the 'Break-Up'

This is something i read and experienced with my roomate and am writing with his help.I shall write in points affects , impacts of break up .

  1.  After initial Break-Up , you would  stop eating , and sleeping.
  2. You would cry a lot and at random, sitting alone or in company , it wil be difficult to hide those pain filled eyes and they will roll down your cheeks.
  3. If you are a boy/man , Tears don't make that distinction ,they will not stop for you too, so don't feel strange , you are'nt the first one to feel so.
  4. You would stop talking with people around, sitting alone would make you sad but with people around you would feel more disgusted.
  5. You would make unlimited calls / sms /fb /wats app to her , but she won't reply...
  6. You would listen to sad songs and all stories you would  feel reflect your own.
  7. You would beg her/him to return , no matter how big you are, but pain would make you do that.
  8. You would wish to die/ want that death comes tomorrow but God won't be kind to you , not then not now...
Now , Listing How all this would/will be overcomed .


  1. Time is the Greatest Healer.So give this pain time , it will subside , even if scars remain , pain will go.
  2. Food: my guess is 13-15 days , you should start eating and by end of 1 month , your diet should return to normal.
  3. In 15-20 days you should get over the guilt factor and start smiling a bit like before .
  4. In 1 month , you can start hitting on girls again.You  can also try to get sympathy from girls by telling your story, girls as you know like emotional talking boys.
  5. That suicide instinct would subside a little but you may still feeel your life useless now , so dying won't be one of things that would scare you.
  6. You would not forget her/him and infact as you start talking with people around , the nicknames you gave out of love would start crossing your way reminding you of her/him more .
  7. You would be tempted to use same nickname during flirting , butt your moralistic heart would resist you from doing it, coz she/ he is the only one you love still.
  8. Listen to sad songs , yes they do make you sad but you happen to see your story thorugh them , they help in healing too.
  9. write blog/ online , even make a new email id dedicated to your relationship and send messages to that email detailing how painful liife has become. Outpouring of pain/grief is also necessary.
  10. During Bathing...Now this is a crucial time during the day when you feel lonely and remember her/him a lot , so start playing music a little load on your phone and avoid being lonely , even sing along .
  11. Break-Up happens coz someone did something wrong between the two of you or even both , so don't expect it to happen in a happy way. You will separate after a fight and  it will be a bad fight .
  12. You will remember her/him somedays more than others , and you may cry , thats ok , don't be alarmed.Itspart of healing process.
  13. Get married as soon as you can.You need a companion to share this hard life .Its easier to die than to live.
  14. Indulge yourself in your career , try and divert your energies may be for her/him but make use of this pain and do something good of your life .

And Finally, You cannot hate someone you loved , if you loved her truely....Love remains , always we move on !!  TRUE LOVE REMAINS...........
