The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released Sectional Cut-Offs for the CWE Bank PO/MT Exam held in September '2011.
The IBPS has released the methodology of marks calculated and Sectional Cut-off of the Six sections namely Quant, Reasoning, English, Computer Awareness, General Awareness, & Descriptive English.
The Passing Cut-Off according to this is 120 marks. ie A candidate scoring 120 marks out of 250 has been declared PASS by IBPS , provided he has cleared the Sectional Cut-offs of Individual Sections of the paper.
The Sectional Cut-Offs has been fixed at 24/ section for General and 21/ Section for Reserved Categories.
Following is information released by IBPS regarding First CWE held in Sept'2011.
Minimum Qualifying Standard Score
SC/ST/OBC/PWD General
1. Test of Reasoning 21 24
2. Test of English Language 21 24
3. Test of Quantitative Aptitude 21 24
4. Test of General Awareness 21 24
5. Test of Computer Knowledge 21 24
6. Descriptive Paper on English Composition 21 24
Process for Arriving at Total Weighted Standard Score in the Common Written Examination
Total Weighted Score = Standard Scores obtained in
(Reasoning + Quantitative Aptitude + General Awareness+
Computer Knowledge + ½ English Language + ½ Descriptive
Paper)
So, Total Weighted Standard Score 120.
# The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in
each of the objective tests have been evaluated.
